How high is the high temperature resistance of pet bottles:

PET is divided into APET, RPET and PETG. PETG is used to make bottles. The melting point is 250°C. The normal use temperature is below 60°C. It can be used at about 65°C for a short time. High temperature can reach 120 degrees. Therefore, PET bottles can be used normally in most environments without boiling water or heating.

Because PET bottles cannot withstand too high temperatures, do not use empty PET bottles for boiling water, brewing coffee, tea, etc. The bottle becomes soft and easy to leak and cause scalding at too high temperature.

Plastic Bottle

It is circulated on the Internet that the temperature in the car is high in summer, and the plastic bottled beverages placed in the car for a long time will produce toxic substances due to the high temperature. In fact, there is no need to worry at all. PET is a food safety material approved by the state, and its properties are very stable. Even at a high temperature of 100 degrees, it will only deform and will not release any substances. In the hottest summer, the temperature in the car can reach more than 60 degrees, which is completely within the tolerance range of the bottle.
